Job Overview :
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for Homeowners Associations (HOA) and Condominium Associations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in association accounting, including the preparation of full financials, budgets, and reporting. You will be trained in auditing procedures and given the opportunity to expand your skillset in this area. Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain full financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for HOA and condo associations.
• Develop and manage association budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and expense tracking.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to clients.
• Assist with audit preparations and learn audit processes as part of the role.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
• Provide support with tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial issues, reports, and budget concerns.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance with deadlines.

Requirements :

• Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HOA or Condo Association accounting (must have association accounting experience).
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Technical Skills : Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Audit Knowledge : Willingness to learn and develop auditing skills.
• Communication : Must be fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work History : Stable work history with a proven record of reliability and professionalism.
• Remote Work : Comfortable transitioning to and thriving in a 100% remote work environment after initial training in the Sunrise, FL office.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar platforms used in HOA/Condo accounting).
• CPA, MBA, or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required).
• Experience with auditing procedures and financial analysis.
