Role:

The Accounting Supervisor position functions as a business support person to both the Plant Accounting and Management Team. The role will be instrumental in bringing analytical analyses to leadership team to enable decisions that directly impact business performance and outcomes. The position supports month-end close and special projects as requested, and works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers and variances. This position will provide accounting support through review and validation of material transactions and processes to increase the accuracy of our financial statements. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Controller to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP as they are derived.
• Prepares various accounting statements and financial reports.
• Support Controller’s efforts to implementand maintain internal controls at the plant
• Prepare assigned daily/monthly journal entries.
• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of the plant.
• Support the local plant budgeting process of operational expenses and COGS, as well as maintaining Actual vs Trend analysis of BOM Standards
• Assist Preparation of actual vs. budget results on monthly and quarterly presentations
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• 1-3+ years of directly related experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to details
• Very strong in Excel and Power Point
• SAP experience preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Action oriented
• A team player with a positive, can do attitude and agility to flex multiple work streams fluidly

Travel:

The position will not require travel.

Work Environment:

General office environment of a manufacturing facility

• Internal: Frequently communicates with Controller and PlantFinancial Analyst
• External: Occasional interaction with customers, vendors and other.
