Cross Path Capital is a successful and growing remote based eCommerce company that has been in business for more than 8 years.  In 2016 we started as resellers out of a garage in Newport Beach, CA and have since grown to a team of 8 selling over $10M of product annually. We sell our products through our 2 main brands - Barnyard Designs (Home Decor), and Seedboy (Gardening) on various channels such as Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Shopify, and Faire.

About the role

We're in search of a full time Supply Chain Manager, a crucial role in elevating our brand's presence and performance on Amazon. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels in data analysis, coordination, and managing the end-to-end supply chain cycle on Amazon. As our Supply Chain Manager, you will manage the end-to-end functions for our entire supply chain (~200 SKUs, mainly sold through Amazon US and CA) from building forecasts, planning purchase orders with suppliers, coordinating international and domestic logistics, and reporting on and owning key inventory metrics. Your responsibility is to ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, and accuracy across our entire supply chain. This role requires a deep understanding of what it takes to run a smooth and efficient supply chain while also being able to collaborate cross functionally and with outside vendors/suppliers.

Alex's deep understanding of these systems enabled the creation of an efficient and cohesive strategy that ensured inventory was always in the right place at the right time.

Understanding the importance of synergy between departments, Alex worked closely with the marketing team to build and maintain SKU-level forecasts on a rolling 30-day basis. Their meticulous approach ensured that forecasts were continually refined based on actual performance, allowing the marketing team to make informed decisions on whether to push or slow down sales.

Alex’s role didn't stop at forecasting. They took charge of building purchase order recommendations and overseeing the production team in confirming and tracking orders with suppliers. What You Will Do

  • Design and execute a multi-faceted inventory management solution using Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), Third Party Warehouses (3PLs), Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD), Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), and other marketplace fulfillment solutions (such as WFS)
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to build and maintain SKU level forecasts on a rolling basis
  • Measure forecast vs. actuals, refine and update forecasts as needed and inform marketing team of actions to take on overstocked or understocked inventory
  • Build purchase order recommendations and oversee the production team in confirming/tracking the orders with suppliers
  • Determine optimal shipping strategies to ensure inventory is in the right place at the right time at the right cost, minimizing unforeseen delays or unnecessary costs
  • Coordinate domestic transfer orders as needed to keep all marketplaces adequately stocked
  • Manage marketplace inventory levels to avoid overstocked or understocked situations
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and landed costs across the catalog
  • Track, own, and report on critical supply chain related metrics

Performance Metrics

  • >3 inventory turns per year
  • >95% accuracy rate in inventory reporting
  • >95% in stock rate for top selling SKUs
  • <5% of cost of revenue for all warehousing/storage charges, i.e. carrying costs

Required Qualifications

  • Self starter who can execute a vision and deliver results
  • Proven track record with at least 3 years experience in end-to-end Amazon supply chain management. Knowledge of SoStocked is a bonus
  • Possesses a keen analytical mind capable of translating data into strategic actions. Expert in manipulating and analyzing data in Excel
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment, able to respond swiftly to changes in the market or operational demands.
  • Strong communication and team coordination skills
  • Organized individual who thrives in managing concurrent projects without missing a beat
  • Deep understanding of supply chain principles and a preemptive approach to coming up with solutions to problems
