Our client, an industry leader in the interpreting field, is seeking skilled ASL interpreters to join their expanding team. Individuals that would be an asset to this opportunity would be comfortable interpreting live on video for varied inbound calls. In this position you would be working with clients from the medical industry, financial institutions, police services, and at times, federal government agencies.
This opportunity will also provide exceptional training and additional relevant certifications. This position is fully remote and offers mutual benefits and perks.
Job Details:
Work from home
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Technology provided (laptop, headset, etc)
Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
Demonstrate linguistic competence in American Sign Language and English
Provide clear and accurate renditions with no additions, deletions or omissions
Employ good customer service and communication skills, clear sign articulation, fingerspelling, enunciation, and pronunciation
Understand protocol and terminology in healthcare, government & education
Always maintain a professional demeanor throughout the assignment
Provide clarification and cultural brokering using excellent judgment
Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment
Requirements:
National current (RID) certification
Ability to comply with healthcare safety standards, protocols and procedures as required
Excellent receptive and expressive sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign skill and proficiency
Excellent listening, retention, critical thinking, and self-monitoring skills
Have home access to the Internet
State licenses held where required
