Dining Services oversees over 30 dining locations on campus with residential dining halls, retail dining, concessions and catering. The department employs over 850 employees in a typical year. In addition to serving food to the campus community, Dining Services also works in conjunction with departments and various groups in planning their events and ensuring university requirements are met.
Must work Nights and weekends

Under the supervision of the Assistant Food Service Manager, Location Manager or Sr. Custodial Supervisor the incumbent is responsible for the cleaning of facilities in Dining as assigned. These duties will include, but are not limited to: daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Responsibilities may include overtime and weekend work. May include after-hours emergency responses and cleaning.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $20.69- $ ().

• Custodial or related cleaning experience.
• Ability to follow, model and promote conduct that adheres to the University of California Principles of Community.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Work independently and as part of a team. Communicate with staff, supervisor and residents.

Preferred:

• Speak, write and understand the English language.
• 1-3 Years Custodial or building maintenance trades experience.
• 1-3 Years Experience in all aspects of housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required

Special Conditions:

• Department can require overtime work to meet operational needs. Able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to pass background check.
