Project Manager - Data Governance As a Project Manager, you will function as a team lead providing data governance support to a critical homeland security mission. You will oversee a team implementing data governance tools and methodologies to increase data integration and collaboration across DHS and interagency partners. As a Project Manager you will straddle the line between project management and technical delivery engaging directly with the customer and managing team member workload while actively participating in requirements gathering ensuring quality delivery.
About The Job - Provide project management support to include tasking developers and business analysts in meeting project requirements.
- Lead meetings with business function owners and other stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Perform stakeholder engagement and outreach activities
- Work with government customers to provide insight on business requirements and functional design
- Manage the contract requirements
- Supervise and coordinate all work performed by Aperture staff under the contract
- Interface with the customer with regards to the work being performed and scheduling of tasks
- Edit and copyedit products and reports.
- Have direct accountability for the technical correctness, timeliness and quality of all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree
- An active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- 5+ years of experience managing business and policy related requirements in the immigration domain
- Experience with the Collibra data governance toolset.
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent organization skills
- Experience functioning in a leadership role on an Agile project environment
- Familiarity with Financial Management, Human Resources and Federal business processes
- Experience developing "as-is" (current state) and "to-be" (future state) customer journeys
- Experience leading facilitated sessions in the customer journey mapping and pain points
- Experience conducting Human-Centered Design (HCD) workshops and interviews
- Hands-on experience creating user personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and capability roadmaps
- Active US Government Security Clearances
