Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Junior Web Develoer to join our home office team in Bonita Springs, FL.

We are seeking a Junior Web Developer to join our digital marketing team and assist in the support and maintenance of our community websites. In this role, you will collaborate with various members of the team and several agencies to build and maintain our community websites across the enterprise. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience in web development within an enterprise-level CMS and contribute to impactful and challenging projects. This collaborative role is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and support of all websites and marketing platforms utilized in digital marketing. In addition, you will support the SEO efforts for each community as well as lead generation forms and lead flow in and out of our marketing automation and CRM systems. 

Responsibilites: 

  • Responsible for development, support, and administration of web-based Content Management System (CMS) applications, including, but not limited to, WordPress and HubSpot CMS
  • Experience with support ticket systems and supporting website changes via ticketing requests
  • Create basic website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our sites
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
  • Browser and mobile device testing for responsive websites
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, software development, marketing or related field
  • 2+ years in web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • 2+ years with content management systems (CMS) specifically WordPress, HubSpot
  • 2+ years back-end frameworks such as .Net or Node.js
  • UI/UX design experience utilizing best practices
  • Hands-on experience with QA and testing applications and code
  • Capacity to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to follow and take direction and feedback
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail for precise analysis of data and requirements
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate as well as independently
  • Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to execute tasks

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of HubSpot HubL syntax, modules and structure
  • Knowledge of responsive design templating.
  • Knowledge of Front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular a Plus
  • Knowledge of version management, using tools like Git.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design
  • Knowledge of Relational databases such as MySQL / SQL Sever a plus.
