Job Description

Tree of Life Products is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Package/Mail Screener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and screening incoming packages and mail to ensure safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role is critical to maintaining the security and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and screen all incoming packages and mail using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other screening equipment.
• Identify and report any suspicious items or activities.
• Follow established procedures for handling and reporting prohibited or hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of screened items.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and secure delivery of screened packages and mail.
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols.
• Assist in the training of new staff on screening procedures and equipment usage.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, mailroom, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to operate screening equipment and interpret X-ray images.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
