As the Product Owner, you will be a vital and trusted liaison between Companion Protect’s technology division and our business channels. You will ensure our customers are able to engage with our products through a variety of channels, leaning heavily on your expertise of the customer and user experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of channels including our technical, marketing, QA and Agile development teams! 



 

What you’ll do here:  

Product Vision and Strategy: 

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy. 

  • Align product goals with business objectives and customer needs. 

  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and external customers for product development, enhancements, and support activities 

  • Manage backlog according to business priority features, enhancement, and bug fixes 

  • Work with the Scrum Master on weekly standups and check-ins with the development team 

  • Develop business requirements, use case scenarios and user workflows for our products 

  • Express requirements in well-written stories, which have clear acceptance criteria 

  • Participate in agile ceremonies - including grooming, planning, and prioritization 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Technology, Data, Marketing, Customer Care teams and other internal partners to deliver solutions that solve customer problems 

  • Work with development teams to address questions/concerns during sprints; manage and control requirement changes, and verify features as they are built 

  • Help coordinate UAT and functional testing 



 

What you’ll bring to the team:  

  • 3+ years in a Product-led organization, serving as a Product Owner or Business Analyst 

  • 5 + years’ experience working with Product-led Technology teams 

  • Deep understanding of Agile Product Development methodologies 

  • Experienced in identifying user and business needs, envisioning solutions, and translating those requirements to project and technology teams 

  • Demonstrated ability to implement big-picture strategies through Product development 

  • Demonstrated experience in building Business and Technology credibility with supporting team members and internal and external customers 

  • Commitment: Dedication to the work we do and the customers we serve

  • Resourcefulness: Creative, innovative, and effective problem-solver 

  • Bonus points if you have a Bachelors or Advanced Degree, previous UX design or research experience, previous experience or knowledge of working with in the SAFe framework and previous insurance industry experience 



 

Where you’ll work: This is a hybrid opportunity, Tuesday through Thursday in the office.
