Job Description

ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Vascular Interventional Radiology Practice. Our service line is growing and this RN will be responsible for providing nursing care and assuming responsibility and accountability for the outpatients through the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members. This nurse will provide day-to-day, in-person and telephone-based counseling and education to patients and families. They may also monitor patients virtually for achieving guideline-directed medical therapy, and adverse events.

Position Highlights Include :

• Provides telephonic clinical assessment and triage.
• Facilitates physician schedule.
• Assists with scheduling appointments and procedures.
• Relays results, critical values.
• Obtains verbal consents over the phone from patients with POA.
• Processes prescription refills, orders for imaging studies, lab work, pre and post op orders.
• Provides health education services for surgical patients.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00**

Education and Experience *

• A graduate of a state approved or National League of Nursing accredited School of Nursing
• RN license or eligible for licensure in the state Delaware.
• Two years’ experience as a RN, physician office experience preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN considered with agreement of completion of BSN in 3 years.

Special *

• Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware
• BLS certification required
