Job Description

Set up and complete installation of various equipment on aluminum boats in spec with departmental production schedule.

Key Responsibilities, Knowledge and skills for success in this position:

• Read tape measure to accurately perform job assignment.
• Skill and ability to cut simple parts from patterns with supervision.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Basic understanding and safe operation of power tools with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to identify all parts necessary to perform job duties.
• Install basic components of boats including: plumbing, wiring, steering wheels, consoles, carper, vinyl and decals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures and basic drawings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Wearing of company provided personal protection equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year or less experience in fabrication or demonstrated ability to perform essential duties.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequent reaching with arms and hands.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Walk, climb and balance frequently.
• Frequent lifting and moving of 50 pounds or more.
• Close vision focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory, including but not limited to safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.
