POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The Senior Director of Finance will work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial planning and forecasting.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying trends and variances.

  • Present financial results to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.

  • Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to ensure the organization’s financial stability.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.

  • Oversee the company’s insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage and risk mitigation.

  • Manage the finance and accounting teams, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.

  • Oversee cash flow management, including optimizing working capital and managing debt.

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that support operational goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.

  • Lead the audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely completion.

  • Maintain a strong governance framework, including financial policies and procedures.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Promote collaboration and communication within the finance team and across the organization.

  • Attract, retain, and develop top finance talent to support the organization’s growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.

  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and financial software.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong business acumen with a focus on achieving measurable results.

  • Experience working in the software industry
