Job Description
Candidate Profile Accountabilities Evaluate creditworthiness of customers in an effort to minimize, and to help to manage, credit risk. Review accounts receivable aging frequently and use collection techniques to minimize past due balances. Monitor credit-blocked orders throughout each day; release orders where appropriate, and work with customers and Business Unit(s) to resolve issues causing orders to be blocked. Keep Business Unit(s) informed of significant credit-related issues. As Customer Master Administrator, work to maintain the integrity of the data held in the Customer Master with the other Credit Representatives while screening any information changes made by other departments.
- Bachelor's degree (prefer in Accounting) with 5-10 years of Credit experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills. Must have good customer service skills.
- SAP and Microsoft Excel experience.
- Detail oriented.
Activities - Evaluate the financial stability and credit worthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Analyze financial data submitted by customers, or obtained via other means like Credit Safe, Credit Risk Monitor, etc.
- Have a clear understanding of TEPRI and TEMUSA's policy and procedures, in particular credit policy and procedures.
- Communicate with Credit and Business Unit management through regular meetings, and regarding important issues as they arise.
- Work closely with SSC Manila Cash Applications team to make sure that payments are posted correctly, and the customer accounts are clean and reconciled.
- Work with Customer Service, Sales and others to resolve issues that create credit blocks, such as discrepancies.
- Periodically review and update customer files/credit lines according to credit policy and procedures.
- Review new and renewing supply contracts, particularly for payment/credit terms, and credit line requirements. Update Master Data in several SAP systems.
- Review accounts receivable aging frequently and contact delinquent customers to resolve past due amounts.
- Keep credit master text updated with notes from collection calls, and any other relevant data about the account.
- As necessary, and per policy, take more formal steps to collect past due amounts, such as demand letters
- Support in negotiation of Parent Company Guarantees and other forms of collateral as required.
- Various reports are prepared monthly for both Finance and Business Unit management, summarizing important credit information
