Summary

We have a opportunity for a Temporary Electrical Power Design Engineer for up to 12 months located at our facility in Littleton, CO .  We are looking for someone who is excited about the challenges of operating commercial electronics in the harshness of space. 

In this role you will be responsible for the following: 

Responsibilities

• Work environment is primarily in the office working in the laboratory
• Assignments will include design, test, and overseeing manufacture of Flight ready electronic systems for multiple spacecraft projects
• Work independently owning a circuit or PCA design and test using ECAD software
• Proving out a design using simulation and mathematics
• Working with Multi-disciplined teams, including Software and Mechanical, Test, Procurement, and Manufacturing Team

Ideal Experience

• BS Degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing discrete power electronic circuits using CAD based programs
• PCB/Layout experience with high voltage power circuits
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals in the field of analog disciplines
• Simulation experience with a Spice based tool

Desired Skills

• Experience designing for commercial space, traditional space, or other regulatory environment
• Experience in designing custom magnetics
• Proven track record of successful product release
• Experience with Altium or Xpedition ECAD
• Simulation experience with Spice type tool
• Cradle-to-grave product development experience
• Cross-Functional engineering experience highly desired
• Experience working with analog circuit over 300Vdc and across galvanic isolation boundaries with multiple grounds.

Salary Range

$60 - $90 dollars per hour
